The OPAP Limassol Marathon 2024 (13-14th of April, 2024) shattered all expectations, blazing its way to a resounding success and clinching a nationwide participation record! Drawing an astounding crowd of over 17.000 spirited runners, including 3.000 from a staggering 75 different countries, the event transformed the streets into a vibrant tapestry of global athleticism.
OPAP Limassol Marathon wasn’t just about breaking records on the track; it was also a triumph for environmental stewardship. Embracing the ethos of sustainability, Green Dot introduced dedicated recycling stations for PMD packaging at strategic points along the routes. And the results speak volumes: over 1.500 kilos of plastic bottles and aluminium cans, along with more than 150 kilos of paper were collected and given a new lease on life through recycling efforts.
This monumental achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of organizers, co-organizers, sponsors, and the participation of runners. Your commitment propelled us to new heights, setting the stage for an even more extraordinary event in the years to come.
