Weee Cyprus is the first Collective Compliance System for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment in Cyprus. The Organization was established as a non-profit Organization, on the initiative of the local industry and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), and today its shareholders include enterprises-importers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment in Cyprus, as well as the CCCI. The Organization cooperates with the majority of enterprises that import Electrical and Electronic Equipment in Cyprus.

Since 2009 that Weee Cyprus operations have started, it has managed to collect and recycle significant quantities of waste electrical and electronic equipment which would otherwise end up in the environment or in scrap metal yards. The Organization collects all types of waste electrical and electronic equipment and the public can return their devices for recycling in the Electrical and Electronic retail shops.

The System has opted to cooperate with the organization Green Dot (Cyprus) Public Co Ltd for the organizing and administration of the System regarding the management of the W.E.E.E. Within the framework of the better organization of the system, the Administration of the System has opted to also cooperate for the organizing of the System with a corresponding system in Austria, the company ERA GmbH.

AFIS is the first Collective Compliance System for dry cell Batteries and Accumulators in Cyprus. The Organization was established as a non-profit Organization, on the initiative of the local industry and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), and today its shareholders include enterprises-importers of batteries in Cyprus, as well as the CCCI. The Organization cooperates with the majority of enterprises that import batteries in Cyprus and its target is to collect all types of household dry cell batteries weighing up to 2 kg.

Since 2009 that AFIS started its operations, it has managed to collect and recycle significant quantities of batteries that otherwise would end up in the environment. Afis maintains a large number of recycling bins all over Cyprus that are mainly placed in supermarkets, telecommunications and electronics stores, malls and shops, schools, public buildings, bank branches, etc.
