Four activities for a special weekend in Cyprus!

On weekends we take time to recharge our batteries; We rest, revitalize and have fun. The most creative way to do this, is to do something different - something interesting that will excite and move you. Excursions are always welcome, but they are even better when they involve a different kind of activity.

There are many marked trails on the Troodos mountain range for one to choose from. A part of the E4 European long-distance path, runs 539km along the island, with 322km of good quality hikes, divided into 72 nature trails. All relevant maps are available on the website of the Cyprus Tourism Organization.

Nowadays cycling is a very popular sport. Professional cyclists from all over the world visit Cyprus as the temperate climate enables them to train year-round. If you don’t own a bicycle you can rent one for 10-20 euros a day.

Such services are available in all cities and we are thankful for that! The Cyprus Cycling Federation suggests a number of interesting routes for those who may need help getting inspired.

Horseback Riding

There are numerous horseback riding ranches in Cyprus of which many offer interesting packages – that is, if you decide to turn horseback riding into your new hobby. Visit Ride In Cyprus, in the outskirts of Paphos, or Drapia Farm in Kalavasos for an introduction to the sport.

The numerous wreck diving sites include the Vera K and Achilleas shipwrecks in Paphos, the HMS Cricket in Dhekelia, a British army helicopter, as well as the famed Zenobia shipwreck in Larnaka.
