Gensler, who have completed the Etsy offices in Brooklyn, New York, have managed to adapt the “WOW factor” in its most ecological form.
A huge area of 18.500 square metres offers employees all they need in its most functional, practical, and tasteful form. The work environment is rich and diverse;
it is painted in beautiful colours, boasts green facilities and is eclectically decorated. It took Gensler three years to achieve all this.
The Etsy philosophy on sustainability and artistry is presented as a narrative journey and focuses on keeping in harmony with nature through the use of local, environmentally friendly materials.
The new offices are adorned with handmade furniture made by local Etsy artists and sellers.
The offices spread across nine storeys and they are meant to become the first certified work-offices in the world. Each level is designed as a balanced ecosystem and almost all levels have a kitchen where employees are encouraged to recycle.
Other than offering various spaces for private work, group presentations or meetings, the higher level also terrace with solar collector.
Jealous, anyone?
